Erik,

That's nice I didn't know that you were certified. PADI or SSI? What type of gear do you have, are you a cold water diver or warm water? Have you dove in California?

Do you dive duals or singles? What has been your most memorable experience diving?

I've just begun with only 8 dives total and many many more to go....

PADI most fo my dives are cold water. i live on lake erie so its very convienent for me. i also dive lake george, northern new york in the adirondacks. alot of wreck diving. i dive with a single and my equipment is older sherwood scuda. tehy really great equipment. i have had most of the stuff since i started. only updating my wet suit as i grew. one day ill upgrade to newer equipment. never been to cali, warm water dives have been florida, aruba, st. croix and st. thomas. when i go on vacation i try to plan a dive or two.

my most memorable dive would be "the thunderbolt" 400ft ship sunk of the florida keys as a man made reef. it sits about 100ft deep, BT 7mins, sits upright also. it was a cable laying ship, so its wide open design lets you go thought the whole ship. the best part about it was in the ships bridge there lived a 8 foot beracuda, as i swam into the door way, he was two feet away, right in my face. so my buddy didnt see him and was triing to push me in to get a pic but i was holding onto the door way for dear life. haha. then he realized why i wasnt going in. this beracuda was thee biggest fish i have ever seen. the worst part, when they sit still they open and close there mouth pulling water in, so all i could see was his bigg a#s teeth. haha. stuff like that i why i dive, adventures, i love places very few have gone.

look forward to hear about your adventures..........

Wow,

That helps explain the dangerous signature you have with the snow flake eel... You like to live on the edge, so you made your fish live on the edge with your eel.... ;-)

My wife discovered scuba with PADI; the program was free and she loved it. She is now thinking about getting certified. :)

Here are a couple pics of her in the water...

Glad you are having fun brother. Nicer touch that you got your wife to do it too.

Also the tank pics are looking good. Colorful like always :)

Thanks Bro,

Here are some shots that we took this past Sunday at Lover's Point in Monterey CA. It was incredible as we ran into a harbor seal, moon jelly, leopard sharks and some fish. I got really nervous when the sharks appeared out of no where, my heart started thumping.

Now I understand why my fish in my 90 gallon tank get un easy when they see my arm enter the tank and they dart for cover.

Anyway here are a couple of pics and as soon as I learn to get these videos on youtube I'll post them; so far the videos are too large.

Fun pics..... it's hard to get a scale on that star. How big was he?
Everything in cold water is huge, I am literally amazed in comparison to what I've seen at the LFS.

Now I haven't dove warm water so I don't know what to expect.

I will post a video of me picking up the star so you can see how large they really are.

Mike.

Hey Mike hows your tank doing?

Jesse
Jesse my tank is fine, I've lost my SPS corals, I tried some frags but they died in about 2 months because I my huge swing in nitrates...

My LPS are doing nice.... I will take some really nice underwater pics of my tank with my new underwater camera....

Hey Brother Mike, what happened to the pics? In a few months it will be a year since you last posted, haha. Curious to see what has changed in the tank given so much time has gone by.

Hey,

The time has finally come where it is time to sell my 90 gallon evolution tank. This fully stocked reef has been running for 3 years. I've nurtured it to it's fullest. I've spent nearly $10,000 on it. It comes with everything from German Deltec filtration, Chiller, Metal Halide, Ozone and Calcium/Phosphate German reactors. Everything goes for $3,000 including corals, live rock, fish.

If interested or know someone that is serious into tanks, this is the one to get. Send me a private message to [email protected]

Thanks,

MG

MAN! Sorry to hear about you selling it. Are you getting out of the hobby? If I was closer I might take you up.

If it comes down to parting out keep me in mind for the chiller, ozone, and calcium setups. ;-) ;-) ;-)

The only person that I know of off hand is in ohio and not even sure 90 is big enough for what they want, but I will ask around. :?:

P.S. No idea why I put so many faces in there...

Thanks Tim,

I have a guy who lives in San Jose, CA and he's comming over to see it tommorrow.

I will be more than happy to work with anyone out of state if they are serious and especially if they were referred by nanotank as this place was home to me when I got into the hobby.

I'm downsizing with the economy being so shaky and this is just too much on my hand since I'm into Scuba diving and it's taking all my time.

Once again Tim if you know of anyone please let me know...

Thanks,

MG
