Well, here is my tank. It has been a few months in the making but it is now at the point where I can just sit back and let it grow. I might add a few more things here and there if they catch my eye, but for now - it is pretty much complete.

Fish that are in this tank are:

Pair of Percs - They are about 5 years old
Pair of Engineere Gobies
Mandarin
Neon Dotty Back

The Corals? Well, you can see them from the pics but I will name a few of them:

Purple Digita
Orange Digita
Neon Green Cap
Blue Polyp Cap
Green Digita
Blue Digita
Alveapora
Anthelia
Clams - Crocea
Atlantic Flower Anemones
Rose Anemone
Rainbow Colored Acro - Very Rare
Pink Pocilipora
Blue Tort - Green Polyps - Awsome Specimin
Blue/Rose - Fuzzy Milli
Green/Blue - Fuzzy Milli
Yellow - Fuzzy Milli
Teal Acro - Awsome Color
2 Unknown Green Acros?
GSP's
Tiger Tail Cucumber
Snails - Tons - Even Reproducing, snail eggs everywhere
Spagetti worms
Tons of Tulip Anemones
Sponges of all colors

Unknown Acro - This guy is tempermental, he has very purple polyps but rarely do they come out.

Well, thats my tank - any questions? :)

Looks great! Did you slope the sandbed by design? What lighting are you using? And what are your water specs?

The slope comes from the gobies that are clearing out tunnels and other things below the rock. People said that I would regret it, but it adds a more natural look/feel to the tank I think. I like it.

I am using a 250w Metal Halide 10K right now. I have plans on increasing that to a 400w in the very near future.

Water specs? Havn't tested them in months. I am sure they are on par as when I do test them, they are always on the dot!

Thanks. Im am devising a way to get rid of the powerheads. Havn't fully figured it out yet but its going.

Yes I did, but I didn't see where it went around the rim. Maybe I overlooked it or have become blind? Sorry, maybe I am that stupid. Lol.

I've got one in my 75, although mine doesn't go around the top rim. It actually goes down one side of the tank, under the sandbed with 'jets' poking out of the sand periodically, then back up the other side of the tank.

Awesome tank Kris. You have some nice unusual pieces of LR in there. Looks like some Marshall Islands rock? Thanks for sharing.

I'm still building the returns. Those will come off the SCWD and go up the back of the tank and over the lip in back. 3/4" returns, so no you aren't blind. :D

Did you drill that tank yourself? What's under the tank? Sump, return pump? I'm wondering why you need the powerheads. Sorry for all the questions.

BTW - Richmond?

SM,
Are you concerned about the SCWD breaking? How are you going to keep detritus from entering it and killing it? After reading thread after thread about folks having to pull them back off their systems because they've malfunctioned I generally advise against using them, but you're one of the few people that I think might have figured out a solution to guard against it breaking.

Yeah, I spent a couple of weeks researching the SCWD's long term performance and I found out that if it's not removed and cleaned on a regular basis, they tend to fail after a period of time. The ones that have had thiers running for several years suggested removing it every month to two months and giving it a soak in some vinegar solution to remove any coraline build up/salt crud from the switching device. I pull all my PH's/skimmer/HOB's off every 2 months and give them a good cleaning, so the SCWD gets added to the list. The Fluval will be filtering the water before it goes up to the SCWD, and the overflow will be flowing through a sponge, so I think I have all my bases covered.

Sorry for the hijack Kris. 8)

No, a local store here drilled the tank. At first I regreted it because it made a terrible slushing/gurgling sound and the overflow never really drained continuously. It would drain, pause, build up and then drain. Like a toilet. After a week or two and some minor tweeks, I have no problems. Flows constantly and you don't hear a thing.

There is a 15gal sump(more a fuge) below. Uses a rio 2500 I think for the return. The problem is if I increase the return, the overflow won't keep up and I will have a real overflow on to the carpet problem. Its balanced perfectly right now so I will leave it like that. I just don't like the look of the power heads all over the place.

I will devise something or see how your thing turns out and go from there.

Yes - Richmond. How did you know?
