well i upgraded for the yasha hase's plus this tank is a hell of alot more stable. still a work in progress, just workin on fine tuning the set-up before i do the wiring. i still have the other set up though, the 5 gallon shallow nano with the viper fixture. maybe a future project. i have noticed you havent been around. hows everything with you, tank and all? ill try to get an updated pic tomarrow. how about a updated pic of yours?EDGRAY said::lol:   you little freak (erick) how there you have more of does pretty gems.... by the way any update pics? ohh yeah i havent been around like before what happen to your other tank that one was incredible the one with clam and alot of zoas on top ... i remember cause of the top shot contest?.

thanks brian. i am super happy with this set-up. i cant wait to see this thing mature and fill in......will keep updated pics as it grows.aquemeni5110 said:Erik, I love this tank! The aquascape I dig, it's like a little underwater city. I hope to build a similar setup but with a 20L in the future.
reefkeeper isnt hooked up to anything at this point, still messing with the sump and all that good stuff under the tank. it will be the last thing i hook up wehn i finish. dont have any baffles because it just temperary. a acrylic sump and seperate ATO resevour in the works. ill definitly will keep the pics updated. thanks for the compliment on the pics, finally getting the hang of the camera.aquemeni5110 said:Pictures look great Erik.
Is your reefkeeper hooked up to this tank or is it still on your nano?
Also, I noticed you don't have any baffles in your sump. Do have any problems with micro bubbles going back into the tank?
yasha's are doing great. lost one a month ago, he tried to fly. still have two pairs in the tank. both have seperate cave systems, so they stay on each of the tank. feeding time they all come out. i ahve heard of ppl using a pvc cave system but i just built up my rock so it only had two good sized spots as the foot print for my rock work. so it kind of forced them to only use those spots. as for keeping them up front, they did that themselfes. at first tehy where out back but then they realized food was out front or bigger sand area. they are pretty hardy also. i have been super busy with work and camping on the weekends so i had been neglecting my tank. they went seven days without food and all fish are still healthy. the only thing besides feeding i do is water change every other week. i dont do anything special for them. i do also have three pistol shrimp in teh tank too. one with one pair and two with the other. they get along with my other fish and inverts......12line wrasse, yellow tang, bi color blennie, and two bangii cardnals. pom pom crab, couple sexies, snails, hermits, and a brissle star. i think thats about everything, if theres anything else just ask. ill try to get some new pics this week before i head out on vacation.johnanddawn said:hey erik how are the yashi's doing? i'm thinking about buying a pair for my school tank but they are spendy and i want your advice. any specific care requirements i should know? how hardy are they? would it help to keep them out front if i built a tunnel system out of PVC and buried it in the sand. etc. any words of wisdom in general would be appreciated...
