WOW... that is quite a rock! There are easily a dozen or so frags on that one rock! Great SPS, btw. this is a great tank.

I hope you are able to handle those damn nudis... man i hate these things.

:) thanks guys - yea i love my "pet rock". it does make maintenance easy
and yea you can never be too careful - QT and dip everything you get from everybody!!! i lost more then half of my superman monti to those little critters and now you can see the damage in that pic to my yellow/brown plate and some to the orange plate.
and ed if you come to the dr's f&s frag swap next year you got a place to stay!

Nice pictures John! I myself am battling zoo eating nudi's. I've got about 18 frags of zoo's and just recently gave them a hot fresh water dip. It did the job but it seems like they might be comming back. It's a pain in the @ss!!! I'll probably do the same with my live rock next time.

yea just when you think your winning a new batch hatches. frags are easy to keep clean fresh water and iodine dips work very well - but when there on larger pieces they can be a real pain to completly irradicate

well the nudis are gone (xing my fingers) and big changes are to follow.
this tank has always been my favorite and although it pains me to think about it, i am going to have to convert it to a frag tank. i set out 18 months ago (first in the hex then in the figi) to see if i could successfully raise SPS in a nano and am very happy with the results i got, but i need to consolidate my systems.

the main reasons for these changes are:
-i currently have 6 tanks running and i want to be down to three by summer.
-i have frags everywhere and need more space to grow them out.
-the 125 is way over crouded and needs to be spread out to allow room for growth.

so here is the plan:
my pet rock with all of its SPS corals will be moving to the 125. the 125 will have SPS, zoas, shrooms, LPS and 2 clams. the overall look will be a very low rock profile with three bommies and a lot of bare sand.
the leathers and softies from the 125 are going to the 35 hex - basically the 4 huge leathers and the capnella will fill that tank all by themselves.
the figi tank will become my frag tank. the large footprint of this tank will give me plenty of room for frags.
the 20, and 2 aquapods will be shut down, and only be run during the school year.

i'm really bummed about it all, but look foward to what the 125 will look like when i'm all done
so stay tunned - i'll be posting pics within the month

Nice frag tank, John! You have a little bit of everything in there.

I definitely see myself setting up a frag tank somewhere down the road. A couple of you here have done it and they are soo cool!

OK - frags are 100% sold out and i do not plan at this time to do a lot of fragging till it is time to get ready for next years swap. in the mean time i will only be cutting frags to order and not have a build up like i did ever again. so the fiji tank is again back in commission - this time with a new theme............ zoas. my zoa cluster rocks were a big seller for me this year so i plan to continue to upgrade my brood stock and offer more in the future
i changed out the lights so that i would have two actinics and one white and started with a small stack of rock in the middle. i then took all of my zoas out of the 125 and placed them in here. i have two very large zoa brood stock rocks still in the 35 but will be moving them in here as well one day. i went to more actinic because recent experience has shown me that high end colored zoas like blue light, i can easily change back to 2 whites if i am wrong.
i also may have a hook up to a captive bred high end RBT anemone that may supercead this project as i originally wanted to try an anemone tank again but wasn't able to get one last weekend
anyway enough talk - here is the pic - sorry it is very blue :)
