Since everyone is pretty busy during the summer, we have decided to combine the months of May, June and July into one awesome Tank of the Summer Contest! Each NT member can submit two (2) 800 X 600 photos from their tank. The member's tank with the most votes will receive an IceCap Model 70-MH setup including a new 6.5K MH bulb hanging system and a pre-wired ballast box. This great compact setup is completely plug and play.

The winner of the TOTS contest will be asked to provide a short write-up about their tank to submit to the site. It will be featured on the front page for about a month.

This is a really exciting prize for our website and we hope to generate a lot of competition. Please read over the rules very carefully as some items have changed since the last contest. Here are a few photos of the prize.

How it works:
The deadline for submitting your photos is July 18, 2005. Then, all forum members will vote on the entries to determine the best photo until midnight July 31, 2005. The member with the most votes is the winner. In the event of a tie, the member with the highest post count (the more active member) at the end of the voting period will be the winner. We will ship the prizes to the winner at our expense immediately after the contest.

The rules:
Only photos from tanks 20 gallons and under in size will be considered. Please submit only two photos from your tank (the same tank). The photos must be taken of your personal tank. No photoshopping or color altering of any kind is allowed. You must be an active member of Nanotank.com and have at least 15 posts on the site before the final voting day to enter. Moderators and site sponsors cannot enter the contest. I will only ship to the continental US. If the winner resides elsewhere, they are responsible for their own shipping. I reserve the right to change/modify/cancel any part of this contest at any time for any reason. Nanotank.com reserves the right to display your photo or use it in any means it so desires from that point forward.

How to enter:
Email the photo entry to [email protected]
Type TOTS Contest, NT member name; tank size in the email subject.
Please keep photos at 800W x 600H. I can resize them if need be.

It's about time, I saw this setup back in December and I had to be quiet about this contest. Still too bad I can't enter, I'm a moderator and my tank is 2x too big! Maybe if I took a pic of the left 20gals, and then a pic of the right 20gals? ha ha

sucks to be me

Wow!!!! I could win if everybody donated to my tank their best piece. I could win if I was allowed to include everything I have had that has died. I could win. I think I can, I think I can...I'm taking out a loan. Yeah baby! :moonin :moonin

Thanks for all the replies guys. This is going to be a really fun and competitive contest.

Mike - yes, you can still enter. I made you moderator of the Environmental Issues section mainly just for your class.

Okay, get out those cameras and get snapping! :banadance:

Hmmm....I've been pondering the upgrade to a 70W MH over the 2.5. Perhaps it's time for some work on the tank to bring it up to it's former glory. :D

Thanks for the opportunity to have a chance at such a great prize!
