I think that nano-reefs are pretty easy, you just have to put in the effort and money if you want to do one well.

I always loved nanocubes, so i am biased toward them, but if you really like to customize your tank, go for the 20l. There are many more options for the 20 long than the nanocube.

Just ask any questions and im sure others will help (this board is AWESOME)
remember, ask anything, the people here will help :D

and by the way, :welcome to nanotank.com :D
and have fun on your trip
:D

different nano cubes ???

THANKS BRANDON , since you favor nano cubes wich one in your opinion is the best -oceanic biocube 14g---12g nanocube dxo6 or am i missing some more . I like the idea of 14g over 12 g but would go 12g if it was a much better product . dont think i will use mech filt for anything but water movement ,dazed and confused stuart.

i don't like the nanocubes myself - too many mods needed to make them really nice reef tanks. i've owned the jbj 12 - cracked on me, and i have two aquapods running right now - nice for qt tanks, fowlers, or low light corals ...... but still given the choice i would do a 20 anyday! i have a 20T that i use as a frag tank but a 20l is a little easier to light and has a bigger footprint which helps in aquascaping

if i were you, i would go with the 20L, but if you have your heart set on a nanocube, i would go with a nanocube 12 because those can be modded easier than the biocubes so far, www.nanocustoms.com have the mods and parts.

I second the 20 L. You can get lighting that will allow you to keep ANY coral with very few problems. Plus you can drill the tank to add a sump or just use hang on back filters. Have fun in China! Eat a potsticker or two for me!!
