Well, i had that thread below about my 8 gal nano setup I jsut got. Well the other day I went to my man LFS to get some fiji live rock. I see they have THe Aquapods in and these Oceanic BioCubes. This is what i wanted to get at first. SO I had to get one! The Oceanic seemed like a better build so i picked that one.

Anyways it seems like these are newer or ppl jsut dont seem to have them compared to the jbj nano cubes?? I have a question about the filtration. I'm not sure if the setup is the same as the other nano cubes, but My Oceanic in the first chamber has a filter pad taht filters into teh next chamber wich has bioballs, then through a sponge and up into the out take. Now i understand to take the bioballs out and fill the chamber with small live rock pieces. THE filter is like a wet dry tho so water is jsut being poured over the rocks theyu are not fully submerged at all times. I was jsut wondering if this is okay.

That should be fine... the bacteria should still thrive.

Do you have a link to this tank? Im interested in learning about it.

I cant seem to find much at all on the internet on them. THey dont seem to be on Oceanic's website yet which seems strange to me. anyways I have a few pics of mine. THey come in 8, 14, and 28 gallon sizes. The specs on my 14 gallon are:

DIMENSIONS: 15"L by 15.5"W by 17"H
LIGHTING: 1-24watt Coralife true actinic 03 blue
1-24watt Coralife 10,000k DAylight
2-.75watt lunar blue moon glow LED
2 50mm cooling fans

Pump FLow rate is 137GPH

Some pics:

I'm going to go buy some more rock today to fill up the rest of chamber. I have 6 pounds of fiji rock in the tank. I might buy about 4 more pounds today then just let the tank sit for about a month.

That's a nice tank... Im sure the quality is as good as, if not better than, JBJ's. Oceanic is a great brand. Its glass right?

ya its glass. I'm not sure what i'm goign to keep yet as this is my first saltwater tank i've ever done. I want to do corals but the lighting prob isnt good enough for alot of them. The only thing I dont really like is the wet/dry in the back is pretty loud, hopefully once i get it totally crammed to the top with rock it wont be as noisy. I live in a studio basement suite so bedroom is pretty much the only place I can put it!

If you put a surface skimmer over the intake for the filter, it should allow you to control the water level inside the filter which should allow to to keep it a little quieter.
