I have a 10 gal that recently had ick guard put in it. Can I still use this tank for a saltwater tank? I have assorted mushrooms and feather dusters for my corals.

After looking at the ingredients I'd say it'd probable be fine if you clean it very thoroughly before using it.

Well all is fine with the move. I washed the tank with a vinegar solution really well and rinsed till I could rinse no more. I must say I was very scare in doing this but it all went well. I was very worried about the medication in there.

This morning the clowns are much happier, the blue legged hermit crab and the sexy shrimp are just a motoring around and having a great time in the new surroundings. I think they are lost.... :blob

The mushrooms are all open and looking good and the feather dusters are open and doing well also. I think I used every single dish I had to move this water and sand. I did not want to cycle this tank all over again so everything except for a bit of new water and salt had to be added.

loki......

Believe me, this tank is absolutley nothing to brag about. I don't have enough rock, to me it look really bare. But in time I might sneak the odd piece of rock etc when hubby does not expect it.

I am a stay at home mom so money goes to more important things other than live rock and fish which i have spent alot of money on over the years.

I will send you a sad picture of my tank if you like.

Hehe. Yes, pics are always welcome no matter what they look like. Unless they are super blurry. :cool1:

Of course we would love to see pictures of your tank now! To my way of thinking, take plenty of pictures now, they will give you something to look back at to gauge the progess of your tank as it gets older! I'm sure it is possible for a tank to start out 'pretty', but the majority don't dear. It's a starting point, and the tanks only get better as we get wiser :D
