    A good tank?

Hey, what you know has helped!

    29 gallon Oceanic

That 6.6 is gorgeous! My LFS has crappy looking reefs. No color what so ever. I wouldn't mind doing something like he did...

    29 gallon Oceanic

http://www.nanotank.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2758 this is where it mentions that a 2.5 pico through a 3 can keep 1 fish either a citron goby or a green banded goby. 5g can keep a damsel, and in the 7g section it includes the 6g tanks where it then recommends clowns...I looked at Damsels and...

    29 gallon Oceanic

I was going by the Sticky in one of the forums about what size tank goes with what fish. I was going to get a citron goby. I have a poll up now of the tank I'm interested in. Please visit!

    A good tank?

Sorry this is long, but I wanted peoples' opinions. I thought it looked good...The website for the tank is: www.oceanreeflections.com COST: $117.99 6 Gallon Glass Cube Offers Panoramic viewing with smooth rounded corners. Provides the ideal dimensions for a mini-reef tank that requires...

    29 gallon Oceanic

Mistakes are good to me. I just want to be able to start up the tank and actually get to a mistake...lol But I have decided on a tank size. I'm going to keep it smaller than what I originally wanted, but I know this way I'm able to keep up with expenses. I'm heading in the direction of a 10g...

    29 gallon Oceanic

Sorry for so many questions, I'm still new to the marine world. I have definitely learned a lot from all of you! And before I buy or do anything, I want to know as much as possible. That way I'm not leaving any detail out. I figure the more informed I am, the better my decisions on my tank and...

And I'm not sure about the measurements of the walls. But it's good to know that the sand isn't displacing anything!

    29 gallon Oceanic

I meant that a 29g would loose about half, which would be only 15g of swimming area...according to The Kapenta Kid. I can see his point. And that a 20g sump would add more water, but not swimming area. Sorry, I should have made a bit more clearer. :)

    29 gallon Oceanic

So a 29g would only really hold about 15g of water...and the sump would add 20. But that 20g isn't exactly a swimming area either. I can't decided on what I plan on doing just yet. I'm stuck between size of the tank, what I want in it, and the different equipment I can have. lol

    29 gallon Oceanic

Wow, I wasn't expecting that much water. Is that big of a sump just being generous or is that what I should use anyway?

    29 gallon Oceanic

This question's answer is probably common sense...but, why does the tank 'act' larger with a sump?

    29 gallon Oceanic

Now, this is a tad off topic, but still refers to a 29g tank: I've been told a couple different things so far about sumps. At my LFS, the sales associate (who also keeps nanos) said I didn't have to keep a sump. But I noticed a couple of you guys do. Any recommendations?

    29 gallon Oceanic

Basically, I just have to try to get the water level to a happy medium then? As far as the water going over the back panel, that's not necessarily going to hurt anything(unless my fish jumps...)??

    29 gallon Oceanic

I suppose I'd rather deal with my tank over flowing a bit into my chambers than have my apartment catch on fire...but kracken, I believe since you seem to have it under control, I think I'll be able to handle the Oceanic.

    29 gallon Oceanic

I believe the LFS said the 29g JBJ was recalled. They had one running with fish and coral and it looked good to me. But they aren't selling them anymore here. Apparently it was setting houses on fire?? I have no idea.

    29 gallon Oceanic

At my LFS, they had a 29 gallon oceanic brand glass tank that I really liked. However, it looks like a few of you guys are having problems with the water level. I asked about a JBJ but they were recalled. Does anyone know why? Or if anyone has suggestions about a biocube that would be highly...

    Top-Off water

I really don't trust my tap water too much, but I'm willing to treat/test it to get it to where it needs to be for my tank. Does anyone know how well auto top-off units work? Or can someone recommend a certain one? I'd rather do it myself if possible...

    Top-Off water

I guess I'll just have to see what happens with the water then...Thanks! I'm thinking I might as well use an RO/DI, couldn't hurt.
