Actually scratch that. It was described to me as caulerpa, but i did a little bit of googling on my own and it turns out I think I might have Purple Grape Kelp (Botryocladia sp). If so I hope it's not as bad as caulerpa sounds to be.

Are all caulerpa potentially bad? I got quite a bunch of purple ones from a friend tonight, and found this thread... now i don't know what to do with them lol.

So my stubborn zoanthids look like they're finally opening. However, it looks like it's not open all the way, or they are skirtless. Is there such a thing as a skirtless zoanthid? Will they grow it later or something?

yeah. i'm doing the reduction of everything and increase in flow as well as filtration. My fluval 104 just came in. I love it. It clears the H20 really nicely! I will be running some purigen as well.
