    chambers

Hi, Just curious what people keep in each of the chambers they have? I heard most keep a heater and PH in chamber 3...sorry if this sounds dumb, lol, but what is PH? Like a buffering pillow?

    replacing bio balls

OK, I've been reading when I set up my tank, a JBJ 24, I should "replace the bio balls in chamber two with live rock". So...do I just fill up the chamber up all the way, half way, a little bit?...with live rock...or is it small pieces? Exactly what am I trying to do or create here, lol?

    will I need a chiller?

Sounds very interesting! Can you suggest any internet resources? I'd like to look into that! Thanks!

    will I need a chiller?

I noticed that you placed your rock on some plastic "egg crate"? Is that to relieve pressure from the bottom? That's smart!

How much and what kind of substrate?

That's great info on the jawfish, I did not know! Nixing that! I like fish that burrow or hide in caverns, so I may go bi-color blenny or black capped basslet now! I will definitely post pics and details once I get it (just shipped yesterday!) and start setting it up, lol. I'm a research...

    will I need a chiller?

That was great info, thanks! But do you mean central air conditioning...or is Air Con a fancy cooling fan?

How much and what kind of substrate?

I've heard that you should keep less than an inch of sand/substrate in a nano. What is your opinion on this? In the future, I may want a yellow head jawfish and I'm not sure one inch would suffice....... Moreover, I don't want to compromise my whole set-up on the account of wanting a...

Encouraging Ocellaris Clownfish pair to host an anenome

I've kept a species aquarium of tank raised clowns. I used BTA's solely as my host anemones, as they are most of the time tank-raised and very hardy (for an anemone). So although they have never even seen an anemone before, they DID eventually went into them. It sounds weird. But when it's...

    How many fish??

I'm new at nano tanks, but I kept black morph percs and regular ocellaris in one tank. They do not associate with each other at all in my experience. There were minor squabbles on the rarest occasions, but they usually keep a distance from each other. Keep in mind, this was in a 45 gallon. I...

    will I need a chiller?

Well, the kit comes with extra fans. Nanocustoms.com said that the extra cooling fans will actually help lower overall temp. Which is good, considering I live in Florida, and having a house at 72 degrees only happens in the dead of winter, lol.

    stock lighting JBJ 24 cube

Is a low placement ok for the xenias? I don't want them to stretch...a problem I had in my old 45 gallon. I know that nanos, since they aren't as deep as traditional tanks can give off a different, better, intensity of light......right?

    stock lighting JBJ 24 cube

Perhaps I should ask this question first, before hunting down retro kits?! Will the stock lighting on a JBJ 24 cube (2 x 32 watt CF's ... tank is about 19.7" high) be sufficent for some LPS like Euphyllia, such as frogspawn? Or should I strictly stick with soft corals until I add another 32...

    will I need a chiller?

Hi, I'm planning on getting a JBJ 24 gallon nano (18"x19.6"x19.7"). It has 2x36 watt CF lights in it. I'm planning on retro fitting another 36 watt CF light in it to bring it to 108 watts of lighting. This setup does not come with a chiller. Does anybody know or have a similar setup to...
