i use timex digital timers.....they aren't the best, but they do the job. Sometimes they can reset, but for the most part it's working fine here. I run a 8 hour cycle for my tank, just the right amount, it's working out fine. When the tank matures, I may increase the time.

i have a margarita snail and various N. Snails. I am considering more, the cerith snail sounds like a great addition, also another good one I heard is that red footed snail. I guess variety is the key.
