I believe there is a nano chiller prototype in the making for this specified tank, and the 6 gallon as well. My brother mike would know more about this and when it hits the market to buy. I'm sure he'll catch this post. C-ya
Wow Dj the hero. You even got a kiss, lol. Admins, go figure, lol, j/p. Good to see the updates to the site have improved. It's a bit different but as long as everything is working, I'm happy too. High five DJ!
oh that sucks.....wonder if it's a water quality issue. With new lights apparently it's not a light issue. If the BTA doesn't come out from under the rock, it'll die as well, and boy that wil lmake you pretty steamed. Best of luck.
I'd save up a bit and buy one modded....keep patient, and keep searching, you'll find the deal. If you want now now, just go with one of our sponsers who make them "nanocustoms"
Good luck.
great looking tank there, 5 months later huh? WoW! I love that "photo by incysor" logo, how cool, mr pro :) I'll post pics of my 6 gallon soon. It's coming along very nicely.
Re: re - posting problems
That or the message board doesn't like ya, haha. Just kidding. Try making a new sign in name and see if it makes a difference.
I am just happy for Sandra that all the fish came out to eat newly hatched baby brine. If you look real good you can see the bi colors head in the lower left (just above the frogspawn), the spotted mandarin in the front, and very lucky to see that purple firefish, it's really shy but slowly...
thanks guys, glad you like them. I'll be soon to post pictures of the transition of 18 watts to 54 watts. A nanocustoms lights modification. I'm documenting my first time experience, and customer service I've received.
Mike: as for the candy canes I haven't spot fed them anything, but...
Just testing out my settings with my camera, this is screwing around with the shutter speeds, makes it darker or lighter and what not. I don't fully understand all of this, but I thought I'd share some of my shots.
first two are with the true actinic blues
With all my lights turned...
thats odd, have you tried moving them closer to the lights? Or if they were too close did you try a place where it had a bit less? Either one or the other is the problem I imagine. Hopefully more people can shed more light on that.
SALIFERT Phospate tester the only thing you'd recommend? I know they are expensive, but if there is a cheaper one to pick up or you recommend I'll go with that. Wouldnt' hurt either to throw in Phosban as well in conjunction to the Chemi-pure that's already in there. I imagine you can stack...
what do you define as overfeeding for tank of 12 gallons. Sandras comes and goes. Have two pumps creating good flow. She uses that chemi-clean which helps to rid that stuff, but comes back after a few months I noticed. I know she has to be feeding cyclopeeze and mysis more often for the...
i've seen a doublestack, but you have the triple stack, lol. Very cool. The best I ever took of something similar is a hermit crab hitching a ride on a snail that went halfway up the tank. I took many shots of it in the tank photography of the crabs section.
yeah, mihkaail is right. Don't let it discourage you though. There are so many pretty varieties to choose from. Owning a mandarin isn't impossible, but it's a lot of work to keep them well fed when dealing with smaller tanks. I should know, my g/f bought one not knowing for her 12 gallon...
