    Reefman's 20L...

Eddie, this ones for you. You mentioned that you wanted to upgrade somewhere down the line and you have a 12 nano...well when I was helping out another member, I found this new fixture that JBJ offers/is offering. I think that someone may have already posted about it, but i thought i would...

    Walmart Hex converting to saltwater

lighting-wise, I have that same tank with a betta and a few live plants and I use this http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/P ... 004+113345 It sits right on top of the tank. I do have to say, though, that I think you will have much more fun with a slightly larger tank, say a 5.5 or a 10g...

    Read me!!! Important!!! Read me!!!

It seems that there was a legitemate reason for isolating the supposed illegal images for further review, but I believe that it was handled incorrectly when eric(?) decided to DELETE the thread. I believe it was then handled incorrectly again when eric(?) was banned from the site by other...

    NEW and excited!

I really do second this. If you have room for the eclipse 3, then you should have room for a glass 5.5 gallon. The eclipse is just not going to work out for a pico reef. There are a few different lighting options out there for the 5.5g now, and i know you will be much more pleased with what...

DIY Canopy From the Hardware Store?

You know, a suggestion I would seriously look into is a 24" t5 ho fluorescent fixture. I say this because when I went to pick up some frags today from a member on another site he had a 48" t5 fixture on his tank and I have never seen as much color in corals before. The colors were jumping...

A question reguarding a brown algae problem!

I dont know if any of the other inexpensive filters would do any good. Worth looking into though. Are you too far away from a LFS to purchase water, or does your LFS not sell water? I have a 16g and have always purchased 2 5g jugs of saltwater and a jug of R/O water ever 3 weeks or so...this...

the site is www.illuming.com and yes that is a great guy to buy from. I got my 70 watt MH kit from him and I would do business with him again. You may want to check this out, he should still be selling the 70 watt kits plug-n-play for $130 shipped ---> http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.p...

DIY Canopy From the Hardware Store?

I dont think that these halogen bulbs are suitable for reefs. Im thinking that they MAY use them for planted tanks, but i could be wrong. I have NEVER heard of someone keeping this kind of lighting on a reef though jesse

    amf82380's 5.5 g nano

I like the suggestion of breaking up the LR a little...and you may want to bump up the lighting to get more watts. 18watts isnt that much..JMHO. jesse

    amf82380's 5.5 g nano

Nice looking tank. Couple questions...what kind of lighting is that? How many watts? Is that LR or dead rock? How long has it been set up? Jesse
