    Jesse's 20L+20L fuge...

Thanks alot, Andre. That means alot to me. The clam is very colorful and is doing great for what I can tell. I have been dosing Ca on a regular basis now to keep that up for the clam. I have been keeping a close eye on my pH and alkalinity...they are a tad less than they should be, but they...

Setting up for Goby and Pistol Shrimp....Question about sand

Hello and welcome. I agree that you should add some of the larger grain sand, but you wont need too much of the coral sand...just a pound or two I would imagine. It will eventually sift out from the small grains anyways and just end up on the top of the sand bed. 3" should be fine...4" IS a...

    Best place for zoanthids?

p.s. I think i misread this thread! I find that mine prefer medium to high indirect flow and medium to high light...it depends on the color, ie. blues are from a bit deeper depth than the brighter colors. Jesse

    Aquacultured corals and fish

Hello all. I have decided to take advantage of this section by posting about environmental issues relating to coral reefs. We are all involved in a hobby that sets out to recreate these naturally occurring ecosystems, so we should have some understanding as to what is taking place within...

    Best place for zoanthids?

I highly recommend finding corals from other members of websites, reef clubs, and other reefers. You get corals for half the price that are twice as nice as anything you'll see at a typical LFS. There are also nice websites out there... one is platinumreefs.com (but they are all sold out...

Is that plant live or fake? If it is live, your gonna want a light like the Azoo Palm light or similar. Cute though, I have a 3/4gallon red sea with a beta, they are cool. Jesse

    Jesse's 20L+20L fuge...

I think the Ric is starting to split or something. I placed them under a ledge to keep too much light/water flow from hitting them. I am still only running the halide an hour or so a day...trying to acclimate everything slowly. The rock is okay, it just isnt what Im going for. Jesse

    New Setup - AGA 75 Gallon Pre-Drilled

They ones at HD arent swing check valves and are spring-loaded flaps instead. These would probably add a lot to the head loss. The ones designed for fish tanks are swings which add little resistance. Jesse
