    HELP (Again) - green algae

I am not too knowlegable with distilled water, but I have always used RO water myself... an even better choice is RO/DI water. Also, you may want to try using Cheato in one of your back chambers... this macroalgae will compete for nutrients with the other algae, and it will win. Have you...

Taking on a bigger project.... Please give ideas.

Here is a big thread about these horizontal overflows that shawshank brought up: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showt ... ight=calfo They are a very effective design made popular by Anthony Calfo I believe. If you dont want to be limited on what you can keep... ie. anything from...

Taking on a bigger project.... Please give ideas.

you wont NEED a halide... the lighting you have will be good for most lower light corals. How tallk is your tank again? And what kind of corals do you want to keep? Jesse

If you use both bulkheads for your overflows, you should be able to get about 600 GPH total through them. That would then limit you to a return pump of less than that after the headloss and all... maybe a mag 7? Jesse

Island... the holes should actually be around 2"-2 1/2" in diameter. The !" in the bulkhead size refers to the diameter of the inside of the bulkhead...in other words, the size of the pipe that will slip or thread into the bulkhead. It is okay though, you should be able to carefully and...

    Starting FLATWORMS STAGE

Here you go Eddie: Flatworm - eXit Flatworm eXit itself is quite safe to fish and invertebrates. However, the body fluids of flatworms can be toxic to some reef inhabitants when present in a too high concentration. This body fluid is sometimes excreted when flatworms die. So when you...

Gonipora corals (Flower Pot Corals) question

I have had one in the past. It was in my tank for about a year. It died... along with almost everything else... when I went on my honeymoon and forgot to turn on the air conditioner. Well, it got up to about 90 everyday for 6 days. Anyways, I would say just keep an eye on it. If you begin...
