Right now Im running a MJ 1200 in my NC 24 it flows good but i would like a little more and was wondering if i could please get some feedback from everyone I was thinking of either putting in a Rio 1400 with a Y and two nozzles or should i keep the MJ and run a second smaller powerhead any help...

I think I have close to twenty pounds of rock the two big pieces in the back bottom are new everything else came out of my six gallon my tank is pretty much stock except for the pump,I put in a MJ 1200 and did the fix on my moonlights

Brown algea is a normal thing do a water change and it will clear up in no time watch your feedings though

Your tank is cycling. Cut back on everything you may be rushing a bit. Throw in a clean up crew some snails would be great

I use CaribSea Agra Alive Reef Sand always had good luck with it and my tanks always cycled pretty fast

Will the YWG sift at all or just eat prepared foods, I think I may want a sifter but Im using reef carribsea reef sand any suggestions

The gramma seems to be a great fish,very active and open swimmer he and my clown Cliff had words the first day but seem to be getting along great,I also plan on adding a YWG in the next couple of weeks

I had the same problem once, take the rock out and dip it in hot water,almost as soon as the rock touches the water that shrimp will come shooting out in a very big hurry

Add your live rock and sand and let it run a few days and keep an eye on your water parameters when they become stable add your clean up crew , a few snails and crabs
