I like your avatar! You should be fine the way you are doing it... you could always turn any pumps off and add it to the general vicinity of your scallop. I have read that you never want to squirt it right at the scallop or clam. HTH, Jesse

I feel that if the skeleton is coming through the tissue, then it is best to remove it. It isnt worth chancing it and having it foul up your water. Jesse ps... got any current pics of it?

I would just follow the directions on the bottles... i think they suggest one capful per 20 gallons per week. I wouldnt recommend exceeding that by much as that stuff is pretty concentrated. you dont have much in the way of filter feeders anyways, right? Mainly just the scallop? Jesse
