Hmm...interesting questions. I'm running an AC300 only on my 5.5. I wish a heater would fit in there. What kind of heater do you have? I'd like to add a little 13 or 9watt light back there as well. Right now its basically just full of rubble rock.

Yeah, there is that stuff called Joe's Juice which supposely works pretty good but I've yet to try it. I personally use straight up Kent's Calcium additive on the little suckers. It kills them and won't hurt the tank. I've killed many this way.

The pharmacy at Walgreens will sell you syringes as well. They are like a buck or so. I picked up a couple of them. Just about any pharmacy should sell them. You just have to ask.
