Thanks everyone. I'm gonna wash the filter pads in warm water after I put more live rocks and have a better sense of the final aquascape. I moved the rocks around and the skimmer pad has alot of sand around it so I'll just wait. Thanks again. Anymore tips please feel free.

Do you mean you have algae on the glass? If so or anything else on the glass "good ole" :wlift use of the hand with a credit card (or something like that library card, fake ccard mailed to you) would do the trick. You can get those stick scrappers sold at your LFS but they can only get so much...
