Hey all, i am currently beginning a new project...one that requires (2) 20g longs. I am in the process of aquiring all the necessary equipment and just thought that I would try to see if anyone in the north orange county, ca. area has a tank or two that is not being used and is just taking up...

So this is my current DIY project...a stand for my new setup. It is oversized so that I can fit a sump/fuge underneath (feel free to voice any comments/suggestions you may have for this sump/fuge in my post in the refugium section). It is also just under 36" tall because a 20L is only 12" tall...

I havent posted anything new lately, so now is the time. I just did about a 7 gallon water change yesterday...about twice the normal water change..., completely cleaned out the skimmer and it's pump along with all the power heads. I have a bit of a flatworm problem right now, too. But here...

I am aware of the disadvantages/advantages of both glass AND acrylic, but I wanted to see if anyone out there took the dive into acrylic. Did/do you regret it? Would you suggest it? I ask because while looking into a different tank, I got the itch to try acrylic. It would be a 20g long size...

Would this overflow be sufficient for a 20L main/ 20g sump/fuge? It has a flow rate of 600gph. Also, SeaClone 100 any good? thanks for any help. jesse

I can get a great deal on this skimmer ($60), but it is TOO BIG for a system with about 40 gallons total water--(20L with 20 sump/fuge)?

What kind of glass do you guys/gals have on your MH setups? I am having a hard time finding UV glass that is also tempered. I originally purchased the glass from Michaels crafts, but quickly (and challengingly) returned it due to some posts on websites stating that their Michaels glass cracked...

these are my first all orange zoas. Actually a couple of them are solid orange, a couple are orange skirts with blue-grey speckeled centers. Hey, for $5, couldnt pass them up. Plus, I dont mind buying these things small, they grow like crazy.
