My 9 Gallon Stealth Cube Build

Looks great, what do you use for Calcium suplementation. Also, how long have you had that Goni? Mine is receding at a textbook rate  Do you feed it regularly and if so what with and how much?

    Diatom Bloom

If you can remove some without disturbing too many rocks or sand, you should. You should be doing very regular water changes at this stage of the cycle so that would be a good opportunity.

    Hair algae? Please say no.

You have a majano anemone (do a google search) in the centre right of that photo. They are nasty. Peppermint shrimp will eat babies but at that size, wont touch it. They are easier to remove manually than aptasia so you just take the rock out and chisel it off. A very invasive species...

    Finally put my tank together...

Wow,,, Do me one favor. Have a read about the symbyotic relationship between corals and zoanthellae bacteria. This is the main method that corals get food The bacteria rely on photosynthesis to reproduce and in turn, feed the corals. Corals need strong light. And if they don't have...

    Funkngroovy's nano (7.5G)

update I ended up using crushed coral so I could brighten up the tank. I am only using 2 15w T8's so I think this will help. And I thought I'd throw in a few pics of the coastline and rock pools in my area of Australia

My First Pico.. An Updated Document

I have also had success with rain water that is collected directly into a bucket, not off the roof. I only use this water if I have put the bucket out at least 20mins after it has been raining. I don't use RO cause I don't want to fork out for the unit, plus I have 22gal that is cooled using...

Hinges on a 29 bio cube top?

You can also get nylon hinges, the type that are used on injection moulded coolers. Not sure on the best place to get them but they will probably be a better option than stainless.

My First Pico.. An Updated Document

Sorry to break the news, but an anemone would be a really bad idea as they are extremely hard to keep healthy, long term. Most people think that it's possible but in reality, they just take a really long time to die. 2 clown fish,, NO WAY> that size system is really not suitable for any...
