    Green clown goby

I do mysis and brine occasionally (yeah I know it's basically popcorn for fish). Rods food makes it in the mix too.

    Feather duster

Not sure on the gill plates. For the securing part just wedge them in a place that keeps them still. I made a hole in my rock work and wedged my Coco worm (close to feather duster). Too much flow and I know because the crown curls up really really tight and he hides.

That is very cool! Anyone can do a great job.

    My 95gallon, Acrylic Tank

The main filtration in a reef tank consists of the sand and rocks themselves. A good protein skimmer and maybe a bit of carbon (personal choice, I like it) are all that is needed. I would remove the bio balls now, but not all at once. If you removed them all at once then your bacteria...

    Current USA Tank

You only really need about a cup of sand to seed any sand in your new tank. If you don't mind rinsing sand then get normal aragonite sand and then add that one cup to make it live. (or just buy new live sand).

    Nano 6g Light Buzzing

AH ok. Makes sense now. I haven't researched it so this is just an educated guess. But I think that is what is helps put the voltage at the right level. Sounds like you do need to replace that part. Although it may be easier to find a spare nanocube 6g hood then to find and then solder out...

    Tanks/ Set-up

LOL Sorry! I had a pretty big load the past week! You should enjoy your purchase! If I am not mistaken you have separate cords for your lights so you can put them on timers.

Inexpensive 20Gal tank...Am I on the right track?

FYI on substrates and having calcium released into the system. Think of the calcium reactors. The only way the calcium reactor media dissolves to release any calcium and carbonate is by dropping the PH to about 6. So unless you have that PH I wouldn't worry about your calcium raising too high.

    24G Aquapod Setup Today. Questions!!!

They are ceramic media. The idea is that they allow for a HUGE amount of surface area for aerobic bacteria to grow on. Similar to the bio balls. I wouldn't use them. I honestly only have one sponge in my nano that I change every 2 or 3 days.

    Very cool!

    DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG?

I've never used it, but it did get rid of that nitrate. I would run a complete set of tests just to see if it changed anything else. LOL chicken fish. I love that! I would make sure you have your water under control before adding more fish.

    Nano 6g Light Buzzing

? I don't have a sure fire answer. BUT ... hopefully someone else may. Reefman has played with the lighting a lot. I honestly don't know what you are referring to when you say copper coils. All the light I mess with is .. power -> wire -> ballast -> wire -> bulb connector -> bulb...

    My 95gallon, Acrylic Tank

I like the rockwork! Are you sure that's a mushroom? Kind of looks like a leather of some sort (I admit my Identification skills are not great). By the way... :welcome to Nanotank! PS Any photos of the works underneath the tank?

    New 28gal Nano Cube

Nice! I like the rock in front on the sand bed (looks like a great place for some green start polyps or other fast growing coral). What do you plan to stock?

    Maroon Clown

Wow. If you step back far enough one could think taking a fish out of the ocean and putting them in a tiny glass box (no matter how big you think your tank is, it's A LOT smaller than an ocean) is kind of mean. I have a refuge and I "feed" phytoplankton in my tank to keep natural food...

    true clown and false

I would put in a divider, light defuser (egg crate) works well. Most clowns are aggressive against other clowns. I'd think the true clown would terrorize the false, but that is a generalized statement.

    air bubbles

A 900 could be a lot, but if you want a lot of movement that would do it. I would use a 600 though as I like LPS and my corals always do better with a more disperse and slightly slower water flow (I'm convinced they are spoiled).

    DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG?

Just sounds like a young system. Our tanks are constantly "cycling" it's wether or not you have a noticeable spike that we see. Every time a new bio load comes in our systems will fluctuate until things right them selves. Is the filter pad washed or replaced every couple of days? If not try...
