eddy, they do hide alot if they dont have a goby. the reason is for there bad eye sight, the goby lets them know if they can come out or not. i dont mind if they hide, cause when they come out its a treat.

all this stuff is in great condition.....only used for a couple months except the light. coralife 24" 130 watt fixture....missing some screws, one fan doesnt work, both bulbs just replaced and end caps. was going to retro fit but decided to go with MH instead. 5watt tetra tec UV steralizer...

IMO 5 small Nassarius 2 astrea i have found nerite snails are better grazers.....5 6 scarlets if you can find a small skunk it would work, but if not i would go with a small peppermint HTH

aaron, the bulb wouldnt be the right kalvin rating, buying the right bulb would put the cost into the range of a whole retro kit made for aquariums. i did the same research and i came up with.......saving for the real thing. HTH

cant you measure the thickness on the side or back? not sure about your tank but i can see the thickness of mine on the side and its measureable......just a thought.
