    brain feeding

I dont have one like that, but I do have a open brain (pink) and leave mine on the sandbed, has low to moderate flow. I feed it cyclopeeze every now and then. It does fine and also eats whatever it catches as nutrients in the water. Seems very hardy to me, so perhaps yours will be fine as...

12 line wrasse - good buy?

what would you accomodate them in? Sandra used to have 4 fish, and she keeps up with water changes, but lost her (mandarin goby) **as expected** about a month ago. The little dude lived for 6 months on prepared food but it's a real PITA to spot feed that guy, and even though, it's like they...

72 Oceanic Reef Ready Bow Front Evolution...

Sucky thing about mike's place is he has no central air in his condo. So when it gets real hot, that temp is not going to go down by much, as it's blowing hot air around. But it can help for now, and with Summer leaving us, I think he may skate away a year without one, until summer 2006 :P

    brown hair algae

test for phosphates perhaps the problem is there. Are you using DI/RO water for top offs? Do you use it when mixing your salt (assuming you do that) or do you buy it already made? Old lighting can also be a contributer, and if you have more waste in your tank (high bioload)

12 line wrasse - good buy?

haha, I'm not as crazy or a big money baller like my older brother. I think the rule for this little fish, is the same as it's cousin. Minimum of 20 gallon tank, and I believe you can skate away with a 12 gallon as I've seen the six line wrasse in my brother's old nano tank and in other...

12 line wrasse - good buy?

I did up some digging and everytime I looked up 12 line wrasse, it would never show me a picture. There would be a site for it, but when you click, the images were dead :(. The closest thing I saw was when I read about the 4-line wrasse, it says that it's also been called the 12-line wrasse...

12 line wrasse - good buy?

I know how common the 6 line wrasse is, but today I saw the 12 line wrasse and was amazed by the coloration. It's price although was pricey, it was at 42 dollars. Worth to pay? or can they be bought cheaper? Anything special I should know about this particular fish? What is the smallest...

72 Oceanic Reef Ready Bow Front Evolution...

your project, your experimenations. see how it runs with your first option, if it doesn't float, go with suggestion two. Doesn't take you long to change something anyway, lol. I predicted this happening from the beginning when you had your first nanocube 12. So I am not surprised that...

how do you tell the diffrence between

coraline algae is purple, cyano slime algae is red. You get that cyano from dead spots in your tank, poor water quality, over feeding, things of that nature. If you have good circulation, good water quality and keep up with the maintenance you can avoid it. There are products out there to...
