    33 or 30G FOWLR

Yes, that is pushing it a bit, but cool, looks good. You really should be feeding something better than flake food for the tang, and especially the butterfly. If you feed them only flake, you will find that as they grow, they will lose their color, and may become victim to disfiguring...

    Algae...

Hard to say w/ out a pic. Could be some type of caulerpa, such as taxifolia. If it is more of a hair algae type, could be bryopsis. Try looking up those two alga and see if they look similar to what you have.

Dickie52, I have heard those are better. 14k's were all the rage back when I got my hood. Now they say the 14ks have worse par than 20ks. Figures.

It is still kind of cloudy, haven't whiped the sand debry from the glass yet. Not too bad for just throwing it in there and not trying really.

Plenum Installed Yes, the sump is very full, but I haven't added the rock to the main tank, installed the return pump, or the skimmer yet. I will take some water out when I do that. First FTS: Still cloudy! I didn't think using only Arag-Alive would make it cloudy, but...

    lgreen's 58g Oceanic Reef w/ remote plenum

Filtration: Remote Plenum (meaning, not in main tank) There is a lot of controversy over plenums. However after doing a lot of reading, I have found that if you set them up correctly, none of the claims made by those anti-plenum people are necessarily true. I'm not going to spend a lot...
