    I have never heard anything bad about Oceanic salt though. I actually dont even make my own saltwater. I buy Catalina water or occasionally i'll buy premixed RO/DI saltwater. Jesse

    There are no "results" as of yet with this study, just the observational data. However, the only thing i can contribute is that i have heard the oceanic has low alk and high ca. I am gonna wait for his final data to come out. Jesse

    If you want higher wattage bulbs, you'll need a bigger ballast. The lamps that you have are not high output. I'm assuning your lamp is around 24".... if you get a high output, or HO, ballast, you can run HO bulbs. This will allow you to get 24 watts out of the same length HO bulbs. If...

    The tropic marin pro-reef is probably one of the best. Others would include SeaChem Reefsalt, Instant ocean Reef Crystals... etc. Most brands have a "reef" version. These are helpful because they generally have higher Ca, Mg, and strontium levels and they usually buffer to a higher pH level...
