My documentation of moving 3 tanks successfully

Hahaha...yeah, basically I had to put a splitter onto my digital timer b/c I could only fit one ballast plug on at a time. So I only had two things plugged into that one timer. Everything else was plugged into that wall-mounted surge protector. I also had another power strip with the...

    New to Coral Question

Thanks for putting up pics. Yeah, you might want to reconsider that baby tang. He's not long for your little tank unfortunately. Might want to see what your LFS says about possibly trading him in for something else. Let's not get a huge flaming thread here. Everything else looks great...

My documentation of moving 3 tanks successfully

Hey guys, I decided to take a few pics to document my move from Houston to San Antonio a few weeks ago. I have to admit, I was very nervous and thought I would have a few casualities. As it was, I didn't lose one single coral. My fish, hermits, shrimp and snails all made it as well. The...

    New to Coral Question

I would probably put 1 drop in per day as incysor stated. Probably even less. To be completely honest, I don't always test my iodine concentration before (or even after) I dose b/c the test takes a really long time to complete. I guess I'm lazy but I tend to only dose iodine 2-4 times per...

    Tank Placement

Thats exactly where I placed my 2.5 in my old condo. It was on the kitchen counter underneath some cabinets. I kinda liked it but a 2.5 was a lot easier to pull out than a 10 gallon when I needed to do a WC or other maintenance. These are all things to think about.

    New to Coral Question

The key to adding supplements is to only add what you have the capibility to test for. Ca, I would imagine, is something you will be adding to your tank more often than anything. But, if you're doing a lot of water changes, you might never even need to do that. Alk is another you will be...

    Carbon inserts.

Yeah, I run a carbon pad every once and a while in my AC150 in my 5.5 just to really polish the water off. I usually run it for a month or so then trash it. They are chreap so why not right?

    Million Dollar Baby

Anyone seen it yet? My fiancee and I saw it yesterday and I'd have to say, it was quite good. Whether you're a Clint Eastwood fan or not, I think anyone would say its well written with good action and drama. My only gripe is that it is a very depressing movie so don't go see if you're...

What is the best heater for a AGA 5.5 gal aquarium?

No, not yet. I think I'm going to order this one from petsolutions. Looks decent enough with a good price. http://petsolutions.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_15510721_A_Thermal+Compact+Heaters_E_
