I've got a 6 gal Nano Cube and love it. Very sleek design. I did change out the hood (lights, fans) but you pretty much have to do it to any type of "off the shelf" tank setup if you want to keep corals. Here is the NC6 post: http://www.nanotank.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2254

Yeah, hard to tell what it is. I kind of like how it looks and if its not out of control or irritating your corals, I say leave it.

That elbow should pull off was well if I'm not mistaken. I will look at mine tomorrow and let you know. You could try soaking the powerhead in vinegar overnight. That always seems to clear up old clogged up powerheads.

Hey Dane, welcome to the site. I just wanted to add that I would lean toward too much sand than not enough. Your critters will love you for it and I always seem to lose a little sand whenever I do really major water changes and suck scum off the bottom. Hope that helps and keep us updated.

I get my RO/DI water at one of those dispensers at my local grocery store. I fill up one or two 5 gal jugs and keep it in my garage for water changes or top off water.

I found a 12 gallon cabinet style nanocube stand on ebay and got it shipped for $75 total. Not too shabby IMO! :mrgreen:
