given the quality of the pics, about the only thing I can say is hairy legs=gorilla crab=not reef safe. if it has beady red eyes and sharp pointed claws, get it out if you can. some people make crab kebab out of em, others use a small glass @ a 45* angle with some food at the bottom for bait

well it's eating like it was in the store now, pulling its tentacles into its mouth. it likes to be all the way up at the water level tho. as long as its eating i guess I don't mind lol

still doin fine as far as I could tell. I've read that they eat phyto/zooplankton, I've been putting cyclopeeze and DTs so it flows right into it. should I be feeding it something else instead?

it's probably a LPS, it's not a softie cuz the polyp kinda pulls back into the hard trumpet shaped part of it. it has tiny little fingerlike projections that stick up when the polyp is extended

no its not a mushroom it almost looks like a trumpet or candy cane, yet a little different. it has very small little fingerlike projections coming off of it when it's open, and looks like ridges coming from the center. I think it's a LPS because when it's receded it's still hard. def. not a...

so on the rock I'd bought from the LFS the other day, I found a gorilla crab. he disappeared into a hole in said rock and I've yet to see him again just today I found what may be an aiptasia anemone. I'm not completely sure yet. there's only one I've found, and what's weird is it's on a rock...
