    Upgraded 330% - to a 2.5g!

I was hoping not but maybe. It is now touching the blasto to the left. And the green finger leather which is closed in the picture is totally inflated and way too large. I am going to frag it. Anyone interested in a frag?

    Upgraded 330% - to a 2.5g!

Thanks all. I'm in Laguna Niguel, Ca reefman. It seems like you have some nice stock from your other posts. For the most part the rock is Fiji except one piece which is shelf - I guess it could come from Fiji. It lays up against the back glass and is about one inch thick. That one...

    Upgraded 330% - to a 2.5g!

Well the hair algae problem came under control with a toothbrush, nothing else worked. The emerald crab I tried unfortunately liked the branching coralline algae (that you all noticed in my .75g) better than the hair algae and now I have tons of 1/2 inch frags of it - too small to be of...

Can someone please tell me . . .

Well the branching corraline broke in a few places today, it seems the hermit crabs like to crawl over it, so I have (2) 1/2" frags (real small.) Any interest? I have no idea if they will survive if mounted to rock with crazy glue but right now they're at the bottom of my tank. At the same...

.75g update and hair algae/astrea snail questions

Ed The astrea is definately eating the hair algae. It has to be small growth though. Once it gets to a certain he won't touc it. He just can't do it all alone. I was contemplating getting rid of the bumble due to his nocturnal nature, and waste of bioload, and now I have a second reason...

.75g update and hair algae/astrea snail questions

Well things are going well at week 6 except for the hair algae that has started in some parts of the tank. I had to move that piece of branching corraline lower to remove some of the hair algae. I lost one of two original astrea snails and replaced it with another but lost that one also. I guess...

    clean up crew

Hey folks Know of any snails or crabs that eat the waste products from other crabs and snails? I thought nassarius snails would do it but they have a taste for real food as they come out as soon as I put some in the tank and are only interested in the good stuff. As far as I'm concerned...

two more pics - one to see the subject of discussion a little clearer and the other because it is neat that it is dark yet everything is open.

it's definately purple and not translucent like a macroalgae. The tips are on the whitish side which make me think coralline. It hasn't really grown so we'll see what happens.
