you should not do another water chage its to soon, and you should never do 50% it will throw off everything. I did a 50% water change in a freshwater tank when I first started in the hobby & learned the hard way. Only do 10% a week or 20% every two depending on how many thing you have in the tank.

It should take a couple of days to get any color, the water may still look clear but in two or three days it will look brown. Try to clean out the collection cup often.

I think it maybe a a little pre-mature to think its tissue necrosis. It hasnt spread at all & it didn't start on the base, but on the stem. I heard that leathers shed there skin from time to time is it possible that it maybe that?
