If I was you id do a 20L or a 10 wich ever will fit in the place of the char. And just fill it with 50 pounds of live rock put in a heater and a light over it no sand and let it cycle after it dose add a cuc and then plum the tank in to that and remove your old sump. (Forget the name of this...

Id see abpit maby geting a few little small rocks (4 pounds) and let them cycle in a 5gal bucket of tank water change and add that to help with the life because if they set out for 4days they are now just concederd base rock

O I was think you going for somthing like once a month. Id just recomend only doing a 1in sand bed tho so you can just keep the sand in the tank when you move it. If your talking about the cheep stands like frome death co the iron one's id not go with one i had a 20L seting on one a few months...

It can take a week it can take 3-4 weeks it is all base off the spikes which are made frome the die off. if its just a quick one tank to another kinda thing then you will probly have no die off at all and so most likley no cycle since it will allready be cycle stuff in the first place. But id...
