I know lots of you on here are out west where its warm and stuff. I am tired of screwing round with fescue...looks good in spring and thats it.

I will be doing zoysia or centipede grass next season at my residence. I have about 1 acre lawn...lots of wasted space but should be nice to toss the ball round with the kids when they get bigger...

Anyway for you guys out west, I am sure u have lots of opinions of the two...

GIVE IT!!!

Which one do I want??

Guess I could make it a poll for kicks..I know its off topic, but lets see what you guys know of the dry algae growin outside!!

I love zoysia grass.....its like a soft carpet of grass, and feels soooo good on your feet! I had a aunt that had it in their yard in St. Louis. When I was a kid I used to love to roll around on it....its wonderful!

I saw a yard the other day on Captiva Island that has it, which is unusual for FL. We mostly have grass that to me, is like crabgrass up north. I miss the grass from up north...here, its just well, sandy, crabby, and fireanty.

I saw some grass that looked pretty cool. Mondo grass I think it's called. Looks like a shaggy dog coat. I guess you never cut it so that's some low maintnance, not sure how it holds up to people walking on it though.
