Yikes!! What is this??

What the heck is this growing in my chamber 3 ? It's where my heater and upgraded pump are on my girlfriends 12 gallon JBJ. I took like 10 pics, but only two came out sort of. See if these shots help, if not I'll take more.

From what I can tell, they are clearish color, tube that sticks to everything, to the end of it looks like a fan of some sort. Whatever it is, it's multiplied like crazy all over in there. None of this at all is found in the display tank. Any ideas people?

hey guys/gals....I found some answers on two other sources, and found that they are sponges of some sort. one said, q-tip sponge and harmless. It's just weird though, they formed from like nothing, and they multiplied like crazy in there. So I guess if they filter, they are good then? Can anybody tell me more about them? And if I should have any concerns if any?

I've heard them called pineapple sponges...Other than they're a sign that things are healthy, there isn't really much to tell. They're harmless, colorless, boring.
