Worm ID Plz

I just saw 3 worms in my tank

2 are about an inch long, black w/ what looked like whit rings around them body of the worm.. Both worms were about the diameter of a ball point pen


the other worm was white/pinkish/see-through in color with white tuffs of hair along its side.


Can anyone identify either of these 2 species and let me know if I need to get rid of them

Both fine.

The ringed one is probably a peanut worm. Do a search for it. We just had a couple threads with them.

The other one is a bristle worm. Harmles detrivore unless it gets huge, (8in or more).

This is of course just a guess without pics.

ya someone else told me it was a peanut worm...i've looked them up but its nothing like that...this one is black...

Maybe peanut worms.

check out my thread. I did one on the worm as well. I posted pics and found it was a peanut worm. See if my pic relates to the one you describe. I do not have any bristle worms as far as I know though...
