Here it is:

Doesn't look like a bristleworm. It's in my girlfriends 12 gallon jbj.

Funny thing, I take this thing out, I toss it in the toilet, and I begin to wonder.....what do they put in toilet water these days?? lol....I saw that worm begin to dissolve before my very eyes. It literally turned into a pile of "Goo" I was no longer able to identify it after that. I gave it a nice flush and that was the end of that, haha.

Does anybody know what it is, or I should say....what it was??

i also have one in my twenty, but the one i have is grey and i have yet to catch it.
the first and only time ive seen it in my tank , it was sticking out of the LR about an inch and it would pump itself and release a white cloudy substance. this is the only way i would of noticed it. it clouded up half my tank. thats when i tried to catch it.......no luck. great pic. ive been looking and thats the first pic ive seen, anywhere

the slithering monster predator was enourmous, it almost took my finger!

Okay okay so it wasn't quite like that. Basically I saw it as my girlfriend was doing a water change, it was slithering on the surface of the water. So it quite easy to scoop him up in the net. I knew it didn't look like your typical worm, so I took it out. Heck, there are enough bristleworms in there as it is, no need for a distant cousin. That thing must have been about an inch and a half long or so.

Dragon,

From the looks of the pic, I say it is a predator worm. Look at it's mouth, it has the shape of a beak. And I've seen worms like that tear into corals, especially clams...

When you cannot identify, pull it out... Better to be safe the sorry.

i caught the same thing. mine was about 4inches long. i saw it in a snail shell eating a dead snail.
You caught him eating a snail that it had attacked and killed. Exactly what they prey on. :gcool

if it's an easy rock to remove, take it out and douse it in ice cold fresh water, they'll come out wiggling all out like crazy.

Sometimes if you leave the LR out for a little bit in a bowl, they end up falling out.

If your LR is something that' a PITA to remove, then you'd need those plastic traps you can order online
