Is it an eel ? While looking in my tank saw something a little disturbing and while I have no pictures yet I will be trying for a few today.......
It is black and white almost a grey stripe serpant type thing that I saw in some live rock . It doesnt move that fast and at first thought it may be a micro serpent star, but when I hit it with the flash light it retreats back in to the live rock it is kinda weird looking actually down right eriee looking it is no bigger around than a pen point and comes out about 1/4 to 1/2 inch and retreats back to the rock if disturbed cant make out a mouth and not sure what it is it is not a bristle of any type but looks like a baby eel ....based on the discription I know that it will be hard to identify but will post pictures if I can get one .......

probably a leg of a micro star. eels dont live in LR. I have a few mini serpants and all i see are black and gray legs hanging out sometimes.

For some reason, it really looked like a baby snowflake eel to me at first. I agree with everyone that I think it is indeed a peanut worm.

Hey, I want one! Can you buy these things? I kinda looks like a tiny eel, which is kinds of cute. I love snakey things, but don't want a real eel. This would be fun, if they are harmless. If anyone has an extra one, send it over to me! :loveface

You guys are nuts!! hahah, ehh. Good work identifying, don tknow how you do it.
It's cause once you've been on the boards awhile you see a lot of the same critters posted with folks wanting to know what they are. LOL

I agree its a peanut worm...I think there was another thread with a clearer pic of one just a bit ago...Although that one didn't have stripes.
