I've gone 6 months w/o changes. Tank did great and water tests showed everything was great BUT after I did a water change I could see a visible difference in expansion and growth. My normal routine is a 10-20% change every 3-4 weeks.

I've gone up to a month when I was out of town. I don't recommend it though. Regular water changes help replace trace elements as I'm sure we all know. :mex:

I've gone a month on my old minibow, but it was clear that the corals were unhappy. I wouldn't recommend going more than two weeks on a less that 10 gallon tank.

Come to think of it, I've got about 2 months before on my 20 gallon. But 6 months Physh1 is crazy! You're doing something right.

Yeah, I DON"T recommend it...lol. It was ok but due to my schedule at the time getting a water change in was too hard. I try to avoid going any longer than a month.

I faithfully do a water change each week.

Now once we get that bigger tank, I don't know if I will do that one, but these two small ones will get done once a week.
