Ok, lets get this thing started. I always think its interesting to find out what people are actually dosing and adding to their tanks. Some people put in EVERYTHING imaginable and others just do simple water changes with hardly any other additions.
For my 20 gal:
I use Kent's Tech CB pretty much daily which raises and mantains Ca and Alk proportionally (supposedly). I've come to realize that the instuctions don't mean anything and I actually put in double the amount in most instances.
I also dose Kent's Iodine once a month. I add less than half a capful (16 oz bottle). This is supposed to help with xenia and mushroom growth. My coral banded shirmp molts just about everytime I dose which is kinda weird too but I've heard this from other people as well.
I also use Kent's Turbo Calcium when it needs a little boost and Kent's Super dKh when the Alk is running a little low and needs to be brought up a little.
On occasion when I'm feeling brave (or bored) I use baking soda to bring up my Alkalinity. I don't have the exact equation right now but I use 2 teaspoons in my 20Gal to bring it up from 2.5 to 3.5.
