what do i need to run a 10 gal tank

i have a 10 gal tank that i had fresh water fish in that i no longer use and i want to no what all i need to run a saltwater tank i have in the tank now an Aqua Clear Mini/20 and a 50 wat heater can i use any of this and what else would i need to run a nano???

or would it be cheaper to buy a jbj 12 gal nano cube i seen one for 100 bucks

There are so many different things you'd need, but rather than list I suggest running a search and reading some previous posts, it should answer most of your questions. Good luck!!

You can use that filter for smaller tanks but for a 10 gallon I would go to the next size up. You could use a good mechanical filter that keeps your tank clean. You would be taxing the little mini too much undet the 10. I ran that filter on a 3.5 and then placed it in my 1 gallon tank.

Ok, here's a rundown of a possible reef setup and basically all you would ever need for corals in the future as well:

x1 Aquaclear 500 converted to fuge (look this up)
x1 50w Tronic Heater (fits perfectly in fuge)
x1: Corallife Aqualight w/Quad 50/50 (1x96w)
x1: refractometer

Just about any thermometer will do, but I recommend PinPoint.

Salt: much debated, do a 'search'

Other than that, lr and ls. I'll recommend a biotoped aquarium as well

i got a 24g nano cube for my b-day

thx to those who gave me info for my 10 gal i have put all of this on hold do to me moving to a bigger appartment but for my b-day gift my girl friend got me a 24 gal nano cube delux reef ready :jump: so once i move i will set every thing up and post pics of ny nano
