What can this possibly be?

I have a colony of hairy mushrooms and noticed two tubes (like what a feather duster lives in) that are on the rock that the mushrooms are on. They open and close as if it were filtering for food. So I finally took a picture once the lights turned on and before the mushrooms expanded covering them. There are two of them as the pictures below.

Is it some sort of barnacle?

My guess would be barnacle as well, but without a clearer picture, its hard to say for sure.
