Wanted to introduce myself

Hello everyone my name is Brian and I'm an avid fish hobbyist like yourselves. The only problem is that most, if not all of my experience is with freshwater fish. I've been lurking here for a while now and just started a really small pico tank tonight. It's a 1.6 gallon hex, and I know this a small tank, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I work at a lfs so this is my "inexpensive" way to get into saltwater. Right now my tank is cycling and I just have sand and 3 small pieces of live rock (about a 1 1/2 lbs). I've been reading up on it, but I still feel like a noob. Anyway, the tank has a red sea nano filter, and I'm using a 10 watt compact 50/50 bulb. I really don't plan on keeping anything but the live rock for a while, and this is probably going to get me addicted to saltwater. Like I said I just wanted to introduce myself and get some thoughts on the tank. I just want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I own a few freshwater forums and one of those "general" forums, so if any of you keep freshwater maybe you've seen my name before. Hope to meet some cool people here. I posted a picture of the tank in the approiate section if you'd like to see it, and I'll post some pictures of my freshwater stuff just for fun maybe. Sorry I'm rambling...

Btw, very nice site, I like it a lot. 8)

Ya'll have a nice day.

Brian

hello! :blob1: Welcome aboard! That's cool you are getting into the saltwater world. Be sure to check out the pico 2.5 and under page. You'll gain insight and read about how to better care for your small tank. C-ya
