hi ....just thought i'd post some pics. of my tank

it's 18.5 gallons
i have mostly fish with a clean up crew and a couple of small frags....

the inhabitants are...
2 percula clowns
orchid dottyback
6-line wrasse

2electric blue hermits
3 blue legged dwarf hermits
1 arrow crab (a refugee from my brother's huge tanks, where some evil damsels took 4 of his legs!!)
3 large snails (incl.a conch)
2 cleaner shrimp

4 hitchiker brown polyps (grown much bigger)
20 tiny brown/orange polyps (freebie frag from LFS)
1 ricordea mushroom (with 2 mouths)
2 feather dusters (one crownless as one of my percs decided to pecjk at him...i'm hoping the perc. will have forgotten about him by the time he regrows his crown (he has started))

i would love some more colourful zoanthids, but these are quite tricky to get hiold of in the uk

here goes....

i was really lucky with the live rock...it came from a 5 year set up in the LFS...just dismantled as i was setting up.....the purple is lovely

the conch is doing fine...he was my first inhabitant 7 months ago...he is one of the smooth shelled variety and likes the occasional rock and glass climb...i have some pics. on my old pc...i'll see if i can dig them out

i really do like the bowfront/semicircular shape...even tho there is a bit of distortion...

it is actually a 'fish r fun'...i know poor name!!!...tank from the uk...they even do smaller versions...

it still only has the standard lights...plus some LED moonlights added...something i'm looking into, and a trickle filter which has liverock rubble, purigen and nitra-zorb in

the filter runs at 550 lph, and i have 2 powerheads at 600lph each

I know the feeling girl... i hate the hermits but im starting to glue the small frags so no more sand bed visit if you know what i mean but i wish i didnt have to do that cause then i want to move the frags some where else :pom

what sort of glue do you use ED?...the problem with these little guys is that the fleshy bit pretty much covers the whole piece of rock they are on, so it's tricky...

anyway...i dug out some more photos....

R.I.P my seastar...was kinda eaten alive by a REALLY evil bristle worm....see the pick of him coming up from under the LR to take the seaweed off my cleaner shrimp...well the seastar spent the night near his cave and never really recovered (on the plus side i baited the evil worm through a pair of aquarium snips...hehehe...he is no more)

also R.I.P. royal gramma...to whitespot, which i used heavy garlic dosing to keep it off my clown (it worked)...i replaced him with the orchid dottyback

crazy climbing conch
