Nope.

UGFs don't work worth a darn for marine tanks. You'd be better off with no filter at all. And just rely on water changes alone. Go out and buy a HOB filter if you don't want to mess with a refugium. For a 29 I'd recommend a skimmer as well, but if the tank is lightly stocked you can probably get away without it as long as you're doing weekly water changes.

i agree skip the ugf it will just cause problems with nitrates, i would use the whisper to run filter floss and carbon/phosban as needed and add a couple powerheads to the tank for circulation

I have the Hob Whisper30,heater,light that came with the tank for a 29gallon.I think all i need is sand, liverock, saltmix,a powerhead plus a testkit forsure.I was thinking of getting some coral but they wouldnt need alot of light so i not sure what kind.Probably going to update the lighting of the tank not sure what it is now.Basicly what kinds of fish could go in there i was thinking of clowns ,thats the only fish i think could go in a 29 gallon????

I'd skip the coral until you've done some research. Nearly all of them need light, and the 'one that came with the tank' isn't likely to meet the needs of any of them. Once you start looking at the different types of corals and you figure out which types you'd like to try to keep, then you'll be able to figure out what kind of lighting setup you'll need.
