i have a BC 29 and now that the weathers getting warmer, unfortunately so is my tank :(. i was wondering if i could get some insight as how to cool this tank down. A chiller seems like the best option but its also a pricey one. Someone i talked too suggested maybe upgrading to a canopy light cause the hood is holding in a lot of heat. any information would be greatly appreciated!

I have seen some people add a fan in the back that blows under the hood to keep the heat down from the light.

maybe a little late just noticed the date on the thread. LOL Seen a lot of that on this site. Hope you got it worked out.

Well don't I feel like an idiot, I was looking at your join date. lol

And, what Alex said, that is kind of what I was talking about, I will also look for the thread that I saw with a little square fan attatched to the hood that was aobut 3-4 inches square.

yea i didnt really know what you meant about the fan til i saw Alex's post. i dont know it the fans were to fix evaporation more than overheating though but it would probably work as well
