these lights are the new bulbs from hello lights ..... I am thinking that they very well may be too blue ????
they are not actinic only but are what they call a dayactinic , I think that in person they are nicer than what I can capture on camera

How long have they been burning? I think all bulbs can change color a bit after they burn in for about 100 hours of actual burn time. It is hard to "see" what color a bulb is from a pic, especially if there is a flash involved. You are the main one who has to like the color, as long as the corals are happy then the color is up to you.

They do appear very blue on the picture and I know that in person they are not as blue.

With many digital cameras there is a simple setting in manual mode that would allow you to access the amount of light from the picture to be taken.

It's called white balance simply set that setting adjust your camera and shoot the pic, then we will be able to see it as it really is in person.
