My floors are uneven. What's the best way to level the tank? Put shims under the stand? Put styrofoam under the tank? Both? Neither? Does it matter on a tank as small as mine? (7 gallons)

It's better to level the tank...wish I had done that with my 30. (grrr) I'd go with shims under the stand.

Even with a small tank it's best to get it level if possible. Prolonged uneven pressure on the silicone seams, even in a small tank can cause them to fail. It's easy to shim up a 7g tank since the weight is prettly slight.

I had to level two of my stands when I moved recently. Just placed some small wooden shims under the stand and got it just right. Its much easier to do without water in the tank but I'm sure you've figured that out.
