Tank recommendations

I'm sure you guys have heard this 100 times before but...I'd like to start a nano tank to keep on my desk in my office. I was thinking of either the 12g DX Nano Tank (2x24W PC) or the 12g AquaPod (2x27W PC) that is coming out within the next week or so. While I recognize the lighting in these "all in one" units is not as good as a custom setup, I must admit that I'm a stickler for aesthetics so their clean look really appeals to me. Given that, I'd like to hear feedback about these units, or other aesthetically pleasing tank setups...I'm open to all suggestions. Please note, my budget for the bare tank is $600 and I'd like the tank to be anywhere from 3 to 12 gallons.

Regards,

Nathan

Actually if you check out the link ( http://nanocustoms.com/ ) you will find that they sell several different tanks including Finnex, CPR, and the Aquapods as well as the JBJs both stock and modded.
Decide what types of corals you want to keep and they will help detirmine the lighting needed for them which wioll help to decide which tank is best suited for your desires. HTH, Skip

Hrmm...people in another post were complaining about heat and quality issues with the modded tanks. Is this not the case?

The posts I have read were mainly talking about self modded tanks. I recall reading about one of Chris' modded tanks actuall running cooler than the stock tank did. I think it was the 6 gallon with the 3.18 upgrade. If you check out the nanocustoms site you will find they also sell unmodded tanks, there are I think 2 from CPR, the Finnex tanks, and the Aquapods. Like I previously mentioned you need to decide what you want to keep, you may not need any mods depending on what type of corals you want to keep. Skip
