SPS with 70w mh?

Well i have a 10 gallon tank and i have just recently got all of the stuff to build the 70w de mh regent fixture (only cost $80.00). now to the question. could i keep sps like acro, montipora, etc in the tank? all of them would be like 6" from the light if they were small. thanks a lot. i also have like 400 gph in there, and i dose calcium, and alkalinity. thanks a lot all.

I think you will be okay. Check out my link where I have 115 watts of PC and not MH and I'm still attempting SPS in a 12 gallon cube.

I've been doing it for 1 month with no RTN at all.

So I hope this sheds some light.

Yep, you sure can! I kept acros and other sps succesfully in a minibow with a 70 watt MH. Incredible growth on them too.
